I've been training with Danny for 3 years now – after years of giving up on gyms and PT's because of ongoing pain and mobility issues. 

With Stage 3 bilateral hip osteoarthritis and a condition known as cervical dystonia, which causes my neck muscles to contract resulting in headaches and pain, I had given up on ever being able to move or train with confidence again. When I began training with Danny, I did so tentatively. I had a mountain of fears to overcome. 

After every session, I kept expecting inflammation to seize my hips or for my neck muscles to freeze. To my astonishment, though, Danny was able to guide me through a training schedule that kept me moving and getting stronger, without causing my body to grind to a painful halt. 

Danny has a brilliant approach to training – he changes up the exercises until I can actually feel the muscles being targeted. And he is able to skilfully push me to my limits, but never beyond them. The most incredible part of the process, though, is that I actually enjoy training now.

WHATS INCLUDED?

SELF ASSESSMENT
We want to assess our current fitness and mobility levels so that we can set realistic goals based on our abilities and make adjustments when and where necessary. 
TRAINING PROGRAM
Programs are designed specifically on working towards improving your mobility and require a commitment of 3 sessions per week. Programs will be accessible through the "Handsdan App" which you will be given access to once your program has been created.
EDUCATION
Being educated while exercising is essential in maximising effectiveness and reducing risk of injury. I will teach you everything you need to know about how to get your body moving more efficiently.
PFP MEMBERS GROUP
Exercising consistently can be challenging and at times it may feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day. It can be difficult to find the motivation to work out. Sometimes all we need is a little support. Upon sign up, you will also be invited into our "Prehab for Performance (Inner Circle)" group
WEEKLY CHECK INS
Every week you will get a notifications via the app to check in. You will be asked questions like how you are feeling? Any concerns with the program? and you will be asked about sleep, stress levels etc.
WEEKLY CALLS
There will be weekly calls to keep you accountable and make sure you are staying on track. This will also be a safe space to chat with others on the same journey as yourself.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I am a complete beginner, is this challenge for me?

You do not need to be fit or flexible to begin mobility. Being a complete beginner is completely fine. All I ask is that you bring an open mind and a willingness to learn :)

What are the biggest obstacles in Mobility /Flexibility?

The biggest obstacles will be the time you can commit, old injuries that may crop up as you increase ranges of motion, that may be currently blocked through tightness.
Appreciating the time it takes to change your flexibility

What if I can't stick to it every week?

I am a huge advocate for consistency over intensity, I understand that life can get in the way from time to time and it is hard to remain consistent. My biggest advise with this is just keep at it, even if it isn't a huge session, picking one or two exercises to do throughout the week will make a huge difference.

How often should I train for mobility per week?

This is aI get asked this a lot, and the answer will differ from person to person as we need to take things into consideration (training age, current flexibility levels, flexibility goals, other fitness commitments). 

The best thing you can do is under commit and over achieve with mobility.

When should I progress with Mobility?

The simple answer here is “when you feel ready”. Most exercises that you should start with should be challenging but achievable. When they start to feel easy, then I would say it's ready to take it to the next level and start to change up your exercises and progressive to a harder one.

How should I approach
flexibility?

We need to appreciate that stretching in itself is a skill. It must be thought with technique and clear understanding to really maximise results in the safest and most efficient way. I see too many people trying to skip ahead in stages without truly respecting a well programmed out approach.
